Cloning Marijuana
Cutting clones or cloning is an easy way to get a lot of adult marijuana plants with the exact same genetics and size at once. Cloning also makes sure you get all female marijuana plants.
To cut clones your going to want to get the tops of the plant. Cut about a 4 inch tall top off the tree. Cut the base of the clone at an angle with a very sharp razor so there is a lot more surface area and their is a clean cut. This will improve the chances of your clone growing roots. Once you have cut the stem at an angle you must dip the tip in a rooting stimulant for non rooted plants. I recommend Root Tech and with the first water 2 drops of Super Thrive. Then poke a hole in the soil where you are going to put your plant with a pen or something similar. dip the stem with the root stimulant on it in your soil and water to get a connection between the soil and the stem. Put them in a covered container that will hold in humidity. Put these under fluorescent or 4 feet under a HID.
Marijuana is a fun plant to clone. You can clone it in or out of flowering. Most people clone before flowering because it is very stressful on a flowering plant. Here I will talk about different ways to clone marijuana plants in and out of flowering.
Cloning Marijuana
1. Clip a top off with a about 4 sets of leaves at
2. Cut off the bottom set of leaves.
3. Cut the stem 1/4" below the set of leaves you have just cut off at a sharp angle with a razor to get a clean cut with a lot of surface area exposed.
4. Dip the cutting in a rooting hormone.
5. Put the cut stem into a moist medium with nutrients like soil, rock wool or any other good medium for cloning.
6. Get something to cover the clones to hold in humidity. The plant has no roots so it is very hard for it to absorb water.
7. Put clone on 24 hour light cycle for a week.
8. Check for roots, If there are roots, transplant the clone.
Ether four feet under an HID light or under a fluorescent light source. Remember that these clones have no roots so don't give them too much light.
Cloning Flowering Plants
1. Wait until the plant has formed pistols.
2. Clip a top off with a bud growing out of it with a few sets of leaves.
3. Cut the stem with a very sharp razor at an angle to get a clean cut with a lot of open surface area for water to absorb into the stem.
4. Dip the cut stem into a rooting hormone.
5. Put the cut stem into a moist medium with nutrients like soil, rock wool or any other good medium for cloning.
6. Get something to cover the clones to hold in humidity. The plant has no roots so it is very hard for it to absorb water.
7. Put the flowering clone on a light cycle of 16 to 18 hours on for a week to a week and a half.
8. Check to see if the roots have formed
Ether four feet under an HID light or under a fluorescent light source. Remember that these clones have no roots so don't give them too much light.
